Praise – Sara Cate

Reviews by Yael Waknin

Synopsis

He calls me perfect.

His flawless pet.

His good girl.

Broken down and wounded by my emotionally neglectful ex, I wanted someone to tell me I was good enough.

Then, I stumbled into a new job with a boss who brings me to my knees—literally. He has me do things a real secretary would never do.

Emerson Grant tells me I’m more than just good enough.

I’m worthy of his praise.

There are a million reasons why I should stay away. The owner of the Salacious Players’ Club is not just my new boss, he’s twice my age.

And my ex-boyfriend’s father.

With him, I am treasured. I am adored. I am his.

I’m a good girl, but I’m falling for the wrong man.

Emerson Grant knows what he wants—

And he wants me.

So how far will I go to hear his approval?

My review

This book and the second in the series were all over TikTok and because I’ve read Sara Cate’s books before, I was intrigued.

This book was not something I usually read but sometimes I like to step out of my comfort zone and this book was it.

I really loved Emerson and his sort of unapologetic manner.

I loved that he knew what he loved and he took it.

He was so torn up about his son it really broke my heart.

With Charlie I had the conflict while reading because I loved how fierce she was at the beginning and her open mind, but at some point I was pretty upset with her because I felt she’s suddenly acting like a child!

*BUT* she was only 21 years old, and she was only finding out her way to love, to live, to feel, and at some point something clicked for me and I understood she literally had a beautiful journey in this book! And that journey was so unique and interesting.

So of course I understand her way of action and her fear and I completely admired her strength.

Emerson and Charlie were so freaking smoking HOT!

This book was flames! It was fire! It was good!

And then I started the next book in the series – Eyes On Me and… Wait for the review
