Scarlett is always the sensible one: The sober driver. The planner. The one holding your hair back while you’re worshiping the porcelain gods.
Week-after-week, she visits Jock Row with her friends — the university’s hottest party scene and breeding ground for student athletes. And if keeping her friends out of trouble, and guys out of their pants, was a sport, she’d be the star athlete.
Being a well known jock-blocker gets her noticed for all the wrong reasons; just like that, she’s banned from Jock Row. NO GUY WANTS A GIRL AROUND WHO KEEPS THEIR JOCK FRIENDS FROM GETTING LAID.
“Rowdy” Wade is the hot shot short-stop for the university’s baseball team — and the unlucky bastard who drew the short straw: keep little Miss Goody Two-Shoes out of the Baseball House.
But week-after-week Scarlett returns, determined to get inside.
I’ve read another book by the author – and very (very!) I loved it so I decided to try this book as well.
So this book in one word – sweet!
This book is cliché for several reasons (and I’m not saying this badly! I like the clichés they convey to us with pleasure rather than annoying).
He’s the college athlete – she’s the geek and a virgin.
They both come from different worlds. They had no chance of bumping into each other if not for the very “unfortunate” situation where he had to take her out of the party and make sure she wouldn’t come back.
Rowdy is adorable! What’s more, most of the book is from his point of view. I know that there are quite a few such books, but there is no doubt that most of the books are from the h’s point of view – the H has his POV, but usually, the h leads.
I know some have said that the book is a bit boring and I can understand why they think that way but I really did not think that!
I really think there are moods where you feel like just diving into a book that just does good in the heart. That you enter a world where you get a glimpse into a parallel world where a relationship starts from something small and insignificant and suddenly blossoms and grows and becomes something so beautiful, innocent, exciting, and sweet.
So yeah, I said from the beginning, this book is sweet. I loved it very much! I loved reading it, and I loved listening to it because it is a book that makes me happy. 😊
This book is devoid of special events and surprises that hurt your heart or stomach. Free of unnecessary dramas, this book is only suitable for those who want to pass the time with a sweet, fun, and heartwarming book.
I recommend the book because I am sure others like me love the break where you can enter a beautiful world that starts well and continues excellent 😊
