Sort of. When I was younger, I really wanted to combine my love of writing and reading and work for a music magazine doing some sort of editing/writing combo.
It depends. For my latest series, Roommate Romps, I did know all the characters, who they would end up with, and the plots before I even began Loathe Thy Neighbor. I usually like to at least have a trope in mind before I begin a series.
No, thankfully I haven’t had that happen yet.
I can’t see myself covering anything super serious. I’ve touched on heavier subjects before, but I like to keep my books light and fun. So nothing too sad or heavy.
For my contemporary romances, I went with couples because that’s what I looked for in a contemporary romances. For my romantic comedies, I tend to stick with men only on the covers. I try to find something on the cover to really pop, like the title font or coloring.
All over! Sometimes it’s just a simple conversation I’ve had or overheard at Starbucks. Sometimes it’s a dream. I’ve never based an entire book off my real life exactly, but I have borrowed some elements.
I know we’re not supposed to pick favorites and a lot of authors will say “whoever I’m currently writing”, but even to this day, Zach and Delia from Let’s Get Textual are my favorite couple of mine. Probably because they remind me so much of my husband and me.
The fasted I’ve ever finished a book is in 16 days. Others have taken me two months. It really just depends on the story.
Romance! I love it and always have. I’ve been reading it since I was young, and I can’t seem to ever give it up.
I’d love to see the Texting Series turned into a TV series. I think that cast of characters has a really good and fun dynamic. But I honestly wouldn’t be mad about any series being turned into a movie/TV show.
TEAGAN HUNTER is a Missouri-raised gal but currently lives in South Carolina with her Marine veteran husband, where she spends her days begging him for a cat. She survives off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When she’s not writing, you can find her binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. She enjoys cold weather, buys more paperbacks than she’ll ever read, and never says no to brownies.
