Questions for author Eden Finley

1 – Have you always wanted to be a writer?

I always loved writing stories during school, but I never imagined making a career out of it. I didn’t start writing seriously until I was in my late 20s.

2 – When you start a book series – do you know the couples who will appear in the following books? Do you know what the plot will be?

Depends on the series. I had three books planned for Fake Boyfriend which turned into five books. The plot and plan changed so much that originally I had paired a main character from book five with a main character from book three, but after learning more about each of them, I realized they wouldn’t have made a good couple.

3 – Did you write a book and decide not to publish it?

I have a YA werewolf story that is sitting completed and edited on my computer. It will never see the light of day.

4 – By what do you choose a cover for a book?

Usually, my selection process is very detailed and long. It consists of only one requirement: Hot men.

5 – Where did you get the inspiration for the stories?

I usually get hit with plot bunnies out of nowhere. It can be triggered by the most mundane things.

6 – Who is your favorite couple you wrote about?

Favorite couple? That’s so hard to choose! The one couple I relate mostly to is Brody and Anders from Unspoken Vow.

7 – How long does it take you to write one book?

Depends on the book. I’ve written drafts in as little as 2 weeks to my longest which has been 2 years. On average, I usually take about two months to draft a book with cooperative characters.

8 – What is your favorite genre to read?

Romance. Doesn’t matter which pairings or sexual orientation. I just crave that HEA.

9 – If you could turn one of your books into a movie – which book would you choose?

I would love to see any of my books on the big screen, but I think the series that would be awesome to see is my upcoming Mike Bravo books. They’re about an ex-military black ops team and has a lot of action scenes.
